Three Rhythms

This project was inspired by a research trip to northern India that sister and brother artists Summer and Zac Hills-Bonczyk took in April, 2014. The cave temple of Patal Bhuvaneshwar in Uttarakhand Provence and the cremation ghats on the shores of the Ganges river in Varanasi provided a rich database of memory traces, imagery and symbolism that later became the content of this live performance art event. The music incorporates samples of field recordings from sites we visited and people we met throughout our travels through Northern India. More info on 3 Rhythms (the album) HERE.

Performed at Infinitree Media Studios in Minneapolis, MN. 3 Rhythms was funded, in part, by a Jerome Foundation Artist Travel & Study Grant as well as a Kickstarter campaign.
